Two atomic bombs, two cities, more than 200,000 deaths. Once the United States constructed the first atomic bombs in the world, destruction followed not long after. The second was to be dropped in the city of Nagasaki.

Only one atomic bomb was needed level an entire city. The results were so devastating that Japan could not comprehend the damage. Previously, the bombs were only tested in Los Alamos, New Mexico, but only until Hiroshima and Nagasaki decimation did the bomb drop on a city. This was all so that Japan would lay down their weapons and surrender - to finally put an end to World War II.
