Hi Jodi,
I'd like your and Amber's thoughts on doing an op-ed in which she discusses the ways in which survivors of gender-based violence have been made less safe under the Trump administration, and how people can take action. It can be timed for sometime after 11/14, when it's time to remind the newly elected Congress of their priorities. Her ambassador title could appear in her byline and announced in the social media promotion of the piece.

In the op-ed, she can argue that it's time to make sure that our leaders take GBV seriously, by highlighting the following:
- Congress' delay in re authorizing VAWA, which expires 12/7.
- The ACIs lawsuit azainst sessions over a new aspen rule he implemented against asylum-seekers fleeing, domestic violence
- A new Title IX rule we're expecting Betsy DeVos to issue this month, which would roll back protections for sexual assault survivors on college campuses.
- She can also, of course, mention Trump's irresponsible attacks on Christine Blasey Ford and survivors who don't report right away.

If she feels comfortable, she can interweave her personal story, saying how painful it is as a GBV survivor to witness these setbacks.

Target publications could include digital outlets like Teen Vogue, Marie Claire, and Vice/Broadly, or a paper like the L.A.Times.
