Description:
The Intolerable Acts were harsh acts passed by the Parliament in order to punish the Colonists that threw the tea overboard. The Intolerable Acts consisted of 3 major acts. They closed down the Boston Harbor until all taxes on tea was paid, all towns meetings were banned, they eliminated the Massachusetts charter of government, and they had trials for royal officials to be transferred to Britain. This was significant because it led to Colonial Protests.
