22h 25min, mar 1, 1766 y - The Repeal of the Stamp Act/The Pass of the Declaratory Acts

Description:

Benjamin Franklin appealed before the British House of Commons, and Parliament voted to repeal the Stamp Act. However, some in Parliament voted against the repeal of the Stamp Act and thought the Stamp Act should be enforced. The same day of the repeal of the Stamp Act, the Declaratory Acts were passed, saying that the British had full power over the British Colonies. This was important because although the Stamp Act was repealed, the Declaratory Acts gave the British full power to enact the Tea Act.
