Description:
Ratified August 18, 1920, the 19th amendment granted women the right to vote. A cause many had fought for through the movement of women’s suffrage. Leaders such as Alice Paul, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and Susan B Anthony worked to achieve suffrage. This was a large step in creating equality for women.
