nov 11, 1918 - WWI Ends
Description:
On November 3, 1918, Austria-Hungary surrendered to the Allies. Just a week later, Germany and it’s forces signed an armistice on November 11, 1918, ending the war. World War I had been the bloodiest and most devastating war up to that time, with about 22 million deaths, 20 million injured, and 10 million refugees. The direct economic cost of the war was about $338 billion, causing many countries like Germany to go into major depressions. This sets the scene for the next world war.
