jul 2, 1890 - Sherman Antitrust Act
Description:
During the late 19th century, monopolies had taken control of many of the industries in the United States. This meant that one person or business owned the whole process of making and selling a product, or they owned all of one step. This allowed them to have a lot of control over the economy which was not an ideal situation. This was causing the smaller businesses to go out of business and because of that those who had money had a lot of money and those who didn’t have money had almost no money. The Sherman Antitrust Act made it so monopolies were illegal in the United States.
