Xyzine announces that she’ll be home late because she may have found a job, so Lillie decides to sneak over to the IS again. He chases her away. She runs off, threatening to tell the authorities about their black market dealings that she's come to notice.

On her way home, she bowls into a tall man who’s carrying groceries. As she's retreating, she finds he is following her, so she quickly sprints home screaming for her mother. But Xyzine instantly recognizes him to be Aidan Hunt.

Because she is unemployed and Aidan is eager to get to know Lillie, Aidan invites them to live in Aidan’s house in the richer part of Nishka, where he lives with Noah.
