jan 1, 1925 - Gitlow v New York
Description:
Through the time the first amendment - freedom of speech - only secured the people in a federal court. But most of the cases only went through the local court where the bill of rights did not occur. The Gitlow v New York case was the beginning of the change, after this case the freedom of speech about politics helped people in all courts. Later this helped other cases to lead to the right people have today.
