Description:
The building of the Panama Canal is the largest engineering project in the American history that took 10 years of work to finish it before it opened in August 1914. It is a 48 miles long waterway that crosses the Isthmus of Panama. It was built to be able to ship stuff between the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans. The canal helped the world traidings and the economy. The canal is still used and each year there is 12,000 ships carrying over 200 tons of cargo all together on this specific water.
