Description:
The 1800’s was a period where the businesses grew and the wealthy and powerful so called “Robber Barons” gained too much influence. They started to create founds and the number of American millionaires rose from 300 to 4000. Therefore the Sherman Antitrust Act was created, the purpose was to maintain free competition in business, to reduce the power of the Robber Barons, prohibit anti-competitive practices and to regulate interstate trading.
