The Dred Scott vs. Sanford case was a supreme court case that ruled opposite to countless things. To begin, the case stated that the Missouri Compromise was unconstitutional. It also ruled against Dred Scott who was a former slave suing his master. Additionally, the case disregarded the approval of the federal government to abolish slavery in their state. The Dred scott vs. Sanford case yielded a lot of debate over race in the United States as to whether or not Dredd has a right to freedom questioning slavery altogether.
