Description:
March 6, 1857Scott sued his master because he believed that he should be free after he was to the territory of Wisconsin where slavery was outlawed. The court said that Scott did not have the right to freedom because they were incapable of becoming citizens. This case made the Missouri Compromise unconstitutional.
