dec 16, 1773 - The Boston Tea Party
Description:
The Boston tea party was a protest of the British parliament tea act of 1773. it was to save the east Indians company by greatly lowering the tea tax granting them a huge advantage on the American tea trade. To destabilize the tea smuggled into America normally by Dutch traders and lots of colonists saw the act as another example of taxation tyranny. Later a group of Massachusetts colonists went at midnight disguised as mohawk Indians and boarded three British ships primarily for tea. They dumped three hundred and forty-two chests of the tea into the harbor.
