jan 1, 1724 - Negative Space Upon SIlver Nitrate - Johann Schulze
Description:
His discovery that powdered silver nitrate darkened upon exposure to light.
This led to his experimental trials, at first in a flask, later on paper. Stencils were placed in the path of the light rays in order to produce a negative image. He was able to record the images that Alhazen was able to project. Unfortunately, the photos would soon turn black after they were taken.
