dec 16, 1773 - Boston Tea Party
Description:
The Colonists believed that the Tea act went against their American Ideologies. So in an effort to protest the act, a group of Colonists dressed as Mohawk Indians and dumped tea from a ship into Boston Harbor. Contrary to popular belief, they were not wildly throwing tea overboard as depicted in the picture above. This act got the attention of the British and many other Colonists which spread awareness of the unfair British treatment.
