In the first five days of Uktar, in a battle known as the Storming of the Qatarn Hills, King Silvam Ithal of Tethyr and Qayadin Revaod el Simaal lead the Fourth Army in defending an assault on the Qatarn Hills. They manage to defeat a group of nine beholders and their army of 3,000 enthralled minions, but 400 humans die.Volothamp and Schamedar fall to the beholders, but they overreach and lose possession of Ankhapur.
