may 28, 1830 - Indian Removal Act

Description:

Signed by Jackson, this allowed the federal government to decide the reservations for southern Native tribes. This forced many peoples onto reservations far away from their lands. Many Natives died on the journey and even more perished in their new reservations as they were not able to hunt on their new lands.
