dec 13, 1941 - Invasion of Hong Kong

Description:

Form the beginning of the war until this point in time, the Canadian armed forces had not been in any combat other that the naval battles of the Battle of the Atlantic, making this their first actual militant action during the war. Since the Allied forces had noticed that Japan was avoiding confrontation with the western countries so by showing some force they might not attack the nearly un-defendable post. Then, Japan id the thing no one expected, they attacked Hong Kong with a very well trained division of soldiers. Without any vehicles or air support and little naval support the Canadian troops put up a good fight but were ultimately defeated, ending Canada's first battle of the war.
