Description:

On 8 April 1924 the Presidium of the Central Executive Committee of the USSR, by a resolution "On a detailed description of the state flag of the USSR", established the following description of the flag of the USSR: "The flag is red (or scarlet) rectangular, with a ratio of length to width, as 2:1. In the upper left corner of the roof is the same color as the flag, with a length equal to 2/6 of the length of the flag, and a width half the width of the flag. In the roof there is a golden hammer and sickle with a radius of 1/8 of the width of the roof, above the hammer and sickle there is a red five-pointed star surrounded by a golden border, the diameter of which is 1/5 of the width of the roof. The gooseberry is bordered by a golden stripe equal to 1/15 of the width of the gooseberry. The diameter of the star is equal to 1/10 of the width of the flag."

8 апреля 1924 года Президиум ЦИК СССР постановлением «О подробном описании государственного флага СССР» установил следующее описание флага СССР: "Флаг красный (или алый) прямоугольный, с отношением длины к ширине, как 2:1. В левом верхнем углу крыж того же цвета, что и флаг, длиной, равной 2/6 длины флага, и шириной вполовину ширины флага. В крыже золотые серп и молот радиусом в 1/8 ширины крыжа, над серпом и молотом — красная пятиконечная звезда, окружённая золотой каймой, диаметр которой равен 1/5 ширины крыжа. Крыж окаймлён золотой полоской, равной 1/15 ширины крыжа. Диаметр звезды равен 1/10 ширины флага".
