COLUMBUS, Ohio, May 25. — The fighting Fundamentalists were decisively beaten by the Liberals at today's session of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church when the principle of church union was vindicated in the case of the Presbytery of Cleveland, which was encouraged to work out plans for union with the Congregational Church of that city.
