Purchase of the block front on Morningside Drive from 117th to 118th Street has been made by John D. Rockefeller Jr., it was learned yesterday, as the probable site for the new Park Avenue Baptist Church to comply with one of the conditions laid down by the Rev. Dr. Harry Emerson Fosdick when he received the call last week to become pastor of that church, succeeding Dr. Cornelius Woelfkin.
