Description:
In the fifth year of Rehoboam’s reign, or in 925 B.C.E., Shishak the king of Egypt sent his host to Jerusalem. The Egyptians stole all of the gold from the temple and from Jerusalem. According to archaeologists King Shishak was the Pharaoh Sheshonq I, who reigned between 945 and 925 B.C.E.. He had hieroglyphs written to account his conquest in Judea and mentions many cities that were destroyed.
