The battles that started the Revolutionary War were Lexington and Concord. The night of the 18th the British Redcoats marched on Concord to take an arms cache. Paul Revere and other riders warned the minutemen about the raid and they met the Redcoats at Lexington. They fought and eventually the British retreated. This is were Paul revere's famous midnight ride and saying ("the british are coming") comes from.Added to timeline:
