These Texts were listed in Amber Heard’s Virginia Exhibit List - 2nd Supplementary but were not brought into court and therefore not made accessible to the public. THE JDC refers to the London Court discussion of the Arctic Monkeys Texts to identify this missing exhibit.

During the UK Trial mention was made of a series of texts concerning Amber attending the Arctic Monkeys Concert at the London Roundhouse on 9 September. The majority of the texts were not read out in court but we have an idea on the conversation.

Johnny was in the USA (New York or LA) and Amber was in London. There was obviously a time difference depending upon Johnny's location, he says:

JD to AH TEXT: I don't want to make anything an issue, baby... But, I literally have been on the ground just 14 fucking hours from leaving your side!!!

QC WASS (NGN) to Mr Depp: Because, I mean, we can go through it, if you like, but there is a long series of texts over the next few pages, when she asked whether it would -- well, she told you she was thinking about going to an Arctic Monkeys show in a small venue with somebody from the cast of something she must have been working in, and his girlfriend. And you found it, it made you feel uncomfortable and she agreed not to go.

That is my summary of the texts. We can go through them, if you want, or alternatively, you can look at them over the short adjournment and then tell me, when you have had an opportunity to read them, whether you agree or not. Shall we do it like that, Mr. Depp? The texts go from page 11 to page 14, between you
and Ms. Heard, and it is what I am going to call the Arctic Monkeys series of texts. Do you want to look at those over lunch and then tell me whether you think I have summarised it fairly?

UK Transcript Day 2: pp 271

QC WASS (NGN) to Mr Depp: Let me tell you what I am suggesting the summary was. It appeared that you and Ms. Heard were apart from each other,
she had been invited by somebody called Jim to go to an Arctic Monkeys concert?

JD: Yes, ma'am.

QC WASS (NGN): There were, in fact, four tickets available, the Jim character, his girlfriend, Ms. Heard, and originally there was one for you. You obviously were not able to attend, but there was a suggestion that Ms. Heard could take someone from your security?

JD: Yes.

QC WASS (NGN): Yes, and you expressed, during those text exchanges, a degree of anxiety about why she wanted to go and you found it rather suspicious?

JD: I found it suspicious to a degree. I was concerned more than anything. She had, Ms. Heard had not begun filming as yet and these were virtual strangers so I voiced my concern.

QC WASS (NGN): Was your concern born out of jealousy?

JD: No, my concern was pure concern for Ms. Heard.

QC WASS (NGN): What was the concern about her going to a concert with people that she was about to be working with and a person who was part of your security team; what was the problem?

JD: There was no problem. In fact, I believe I even told her a few times, I said, "Go ahead and go."

QC WASS (NGN): Then you expressed your concerns and in fact she did not go in the end, did she?

JD: No, it appears she did not go.

QC WASS (NGN): She did not go and you said this: "You lay a gauntlet before me that you know is the very species of danger that will always attract me into a very tempting test." Were you referring to your jealousy?

JD: I do not quite know what I was referring to there. Could you read it again? I am so sorry.

QC WASS (NGN) Yes. This is to you to Ms. Heard. It is a long interchange about should she go, should she not go, whether you tell her to go, and then she said, "No, I will not go", which is why I did not want to read every single question and answer out. You end by saying: "You [that is Ms. Heard] lay a gauntlet before me that you know is the very species of danger that will always attract me into a very tempting test."

JD: It does not sound like I am referring to that incident for some reason, but I do not know what gauntlet I am talking about.
