Description:
Prior to the Apple Macintosh computer, almost all computers used a command line prompt in order to operate the system, leaving computing tasks out of the realm of ordinary people who were not computer scientists or engineers. The Macintosh was among first computer available to the public which used a easy-to -navigate mouse-driven graphical user interface (GUI) that took advantage of icons and a multi-panel window interface to navigate. While other computers produced by Xerox implemented a GUI and mouse, there was no icons and the Mac was specificlly designed with human factors and ease of use in mind.
