jan 1, 1911 - Frank Gilbreth publishes his studies on motion
Description:
Gilbreth uses state of the art film reels to film workers doing tasks. From this footage, they are able to deconstruct the worker's motions into 17 basic motions referred to as "therbligs." Gilbreth's goal is to increase productivity by reducing the number of motions the worker must perform in order to complete a task.
