9h 35min, oct 29, 1929 y - Stock Market Crash

Description:

Black Tuesday was the official collapse of the stock market. Investors traded 16 million shares on the New York Stock Exchange and lost billions of dollars. There was a huge increase in overproduction and unemployment rates were skyrocketing. People were going into debt and banks were losing their money. Prices continued to drop and the United States fell into a terrible slump known as the Great Depression. President Franklin D. Roosevelt tried to help the US get out of the depression by creating the three R’s: relief, reform, and recovery. The Great Depression finally ended at the end of WWII.
