Leicester Square served as the backdrop as Johnny Depp made his first promotional commitment on behalf of new film Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

The American actor, 55, joined his co-stars as the latest offering from Harry Potter creator JK Rowling received it's UK premiere in front of an enthusiastic crowd.

Depp, who reprises his role as Gellert Grindelwald in the new film, looked smart in a black shirt and matching suede blazer as he posed for photos at the event.
