Description:
Friedrich Miescher started his research of the chemical composition of cells in Felix Hoppe-Seyler’s laboratory. He started his studies with lymphocytes but then examined leucocytes, where he was able to find nuclein, by the isolation of a cell nucleus, which would later be known as Deoxyribonucleic acid.
