Overhaulin’ TV Show aired 28 October 2015. Originally filmed on 20 December 2014 the show took Amber Heard’s ’68 Blue Mustang and reworked it to be a high powered Sioux Red Mustang. The show presented the work as having been a secret arranged by David Heard (her father) and Johnny Depp.The show is interesting for five reasons:
1. Amber Heard’s response to her car being stolen is to advocate for violence
2. Amber Heard is seen edging towards boil point. Crew members are on record stating it was a very difficult shoot due to Amber’s temper and they struggled to salvage sufficient footage to make the show.
3. Amber Heard’s immediate reaction to being pranked was to hit both her father and Johnny Depp. Her father stood his ground but Johnny cowered and turned away in a defensive posture from yet maintained a smile no doubt due to the crew and cameras surrounding them.
4. The car mechanic was David Killackey who later gave a US VA Declaration accusing Amber Heard of attempting to charge work to Johnny Depp after her charging privileges had been withdrawn. Mr Killackey also accused Amber Heard and her father of threats of violence towards himself and Johnny Depp.
5. Why on earth did Johnny Depp venture into reality TV?
