jun 28, 1919 - Treaty of Versailles

Description:

The Treaty of Versailles created nine new regions, for example Poland, Yugoslavia, and Czechoslovakia. It also shifted boundaries of previous nations, and gave land to other countries. It proceeded to prohibit Germany from maintaining the army it had. They also had to pay for war damages which was $33 billion. The treaty did also have some weaknesses. The way Germany was treated prevented the treaty to provide peace in Europe, these problems were said to have caused World War Two. The treaty had a war-guilt clause, which made Germany take responsibility for the war.
