Description:

Darius is assassinated by his own general and cousin Bessus. Alexander was infuriated and pursued Bessus, promising justice. In doing this, Alexander showed reverence to his fallen enemy and former Persian King. Following Darius' death, Alexander declared himself King of Asia, ruler of the previously Persian controlled lands.
