Description:

Shortly after quelling a rebellion in Bactria, Alexander marries the Bactrian princess Roxanne(Roxana), a move that could be seen as a way to placate the people of his new empire, to whom he was still viewed as a foreigner. This made sense when taken in the context of why Alexander had been in Bactria in the first place, and most likely did a good job to stabilize his authority over the eastern satrapy as he had plans of pushing further eastward to India.
