One of the Hobbits acquired the first full netherite block, and later created a wild goose chase promising the winner the netherite block... but never gave it to them
The person who found the igloo posted picture that looked exactly like the picture posted by the Hobbit in question, who only then announced that the netherite block was never actually going to be given to anyone.
While annoying, moderators took a neutral stance on this, saying it was foolish of anyone to believe a netherite block would be given so freely when it was worth so much.
