jul 21, 1835 - First Canadian Railway Opens
Description:
What the majority of people considered the first real railroad in Canada was the Champlain and Saint Lawrence Railroad, built to overcome the tedious passage from Montrèal to New York.
It was (and still is) an incredibly revolutionary feat in Canada for travel, as it made trade between the states and Canada far easier than ever before.
