jan 1, 4400276 BC - Ardipithecus ramidus
Description:
Ardipithecus is the oldest known hominin to have lived. It was an arboreal, bipedal hominin, however, their anatomy suggests they often spent most of their time in trees, as the skeleton is central, indicating an upright posture, but the presence of the gasping first toe and long fingers indicated a life in the trees.
