After being in Cuba 7 years Hernán Cortés travelled to the Mexican coast of cozumel in 1519, after some weeks Cortes heard about an emperor that ruled all over the land known as Moctezuma, so he went with all his men and with a native woman named Malinche who helped Hernan Cortes to communicate with the mexicas, and after making a deal with the enemies of the mexicas both started to attack the city of Tenochtitlan the capital of the mexica empire and in 1521 after 2 years they finally conquered Tenochtitlan finishing the empire.
