jun 6, 1944 - D-Day

Description:

As a distraction for the upcoming invasion, Ally paratroopers and gliders drop in behind the German lines during midnight. Those that dropped in successfully were able to destroy railroad lines and capture Axis airfields. A few hours later, Ally troops land on the beach of Normandy, France. Since the Axis were not expecting us there we were able to capture the beaches, allowing for a Second Front to take place. Allies then continue to invade France and a few months later, France is liberated and has set up a new government.
