The Germans still wanting territory in Russia decided that they had one last offensive that they could launch. But, months later when Russia found out, they built a lot of defensive areas. They built minefields, forts, artillery fire zones, and anti-tank strong points. As a large tank battle, German forces were sure to receive a victory. But being unprepared for all the defense and the lack of a large army, Russia was able to stop them from further invading making it the first time that they have been stopped.Added to timeline:
