nov 8, 1942 - Operation Torch
Description:
Germany had troops in Africa in order to have a decent supply of oil for their tanks and vehicles. When the US discovers this, they send troops to invade Algeria and had them continue to move to the east. German troops were eventually trapped, forcing them to retreat back to Italy. North Africa was then Ally territory and the oil supply was not to be wasted so quickly.
