jun 22, 1941 - Operation Barbarossa

Description:

This was the code name for the invasion of Russia. Russia being a big territory close to Germany was just what Hitler was looking for. Up to this war, Russia and Germany had a Non-Aggression Pact signed, but Hitler obviously didn't care about. With Russia having only one gun for two soldiers, the Germans had a good chance of winning. The Germans also had better equipment like guns, tanks, and planes. By the end of this war, most of the Western front of Russia now belonged to Germany.
