Description:

maire goes to see kano at madam vesta's but they tell her he's not there, he was taken by the constable just this morning for the murders
maire goes to see him in prison instead, but is turned away by the constable himself
on her way out, she sees one of the flyers, and she goes to see james, saying that she knows he's got kano involved in some fox business
she asks if he knows he's been imprisoned, james says he does, but not why
maire elects not to tell him, and instead tells him to take her to see the fox
why she just gets to make demands of him, idk, maybe she's just too tired and he's not complaining
so they go to the printer's shop, but it's abandoned
they poke around a bit, one of the shop's walls is literally the dun wall, and there's even a gravestone on it
james tells her about the legend of them and all that, and he examines one only to find that it's really a trap door
they climb through and enter the underground
they poke around for a bit, follow the voices until they get to this larger room with a crowd
they stand on the edge of the crowd and listen in as the fox is talking about injustice and inequality
and i mean, he raises some fair points that maire absolutely acknowledges, and in a few years, she seeks out alexander's old supporters and has them help her write up a new constitution or w/e
but for now, maire and james sneak into this kinda backroom while everyone is distracted where there's this round table with a bunch of scratches in them (that she'll later realise is a map of low ward, but probably not until like, a LOT later, like maybe years later) and there are also a bunch of papers on it
it looks like letters discussing fundings and stuff and it's signed 'r'
now, maire thinks that this is really winsborough who's first name was richard or smth else with r, but it's really ll who married into the reilley family and she hated them so for her more nefarious projects, she uses 'r'
maire kinda has that feeling of recognising it but not knowing where from
now, ll doesn't really give a fuck about revolution, she just wants chaos and she's eventually executed for it
in the end, maybe, maire talks some of the rebel leaders down by being all 'll doesn't care, she's just using u'
idk but we'll get there

they're going through the papers when james notices smth on the back wall
they turn around and see that the entire wall is covered in gravestones as well, but these have been painted over with various runes
maire makes a copy of some of them, but then they hear people walking outside, so they hurry up and run, leaving everything behind
