The Italian Unification was able to happen due to these three men, Giuseppe Mazzini, Count Camillo di Cavour, and Giuseppe Garibaldi. During the Italian unification, Italy wasn't a nation or a state but was under foreign rule, the Hapsburg's, there were different dialects and, the north being more developed than the south.
