Dear journal,
It has been about 11 years since i last wrote something in this journal. I found it over a year ago when i had attended the funeral of my Pa. Pa died because one of his slaves shot him. The anger in my heart has been sitting there ever since i found out what happened. Me and Archie are the only ones left because both Ma and Pa are dead. Oh what happened to the slave you ask? well first we wanted to torture him so we killed his children and wife and made him watch then we lynched him in front of a crowd and burned him at the stake. That's what Pa would've wanted and i wanna make him proud. Word around says there is a war but i don't really pay it no mind. I have a wife and lil children at home that dont need to worry about anything else. But what i do know is that there was a war and that the land we got from the Mexicans was admitted not to have slaves but they refused to pass it. I just know that if they make these states not slave states that it isn't fair we need slaves everyone does. Not just the South but everyone. Why cant these incompetent people see that. If i wasn't so against violence against my own fellow whites i would've hanged them like i did that black that one that killed my Pa.
