After complety her studies at Amherst Academy, she even enters Mount Holyoke Female Seminary, or later known as Mount Holyoke College. At the time that Dickinson entered all women were classified into 3 different groups: women who were "established Christians," women who "expressed hope," and those "without hope." Dickinson was a woman "without hope."
