jun 13, 1887 - Dawes Act (1887)

Description:

The Dawes Act was a well-intended bill for Native Americans. This bill split-up reservations and separated the land among tribe members. But only few Natives were successful at farming. As a result, many had to sell their land which would be permanently lost.
