Description:
From 1521 until 1820, Mexico became part of the New Spain Viceroyalty. Many changes occured during this period of time. Social classes were highly divided. Indigenous people were discriminated and usually worked as servants. Spaniards and the Church took the highest places in society. In the important cities were "corregidores", which were appointed by the king to direct these cities. Evangelism became stronger, and some mehtods of evangelization were paintings, theatrical representations, etc. The use of force remained constant.
