oct 27, 1962 - Kennedy agrees to Khrushchev’s proposal that if Kennedy promises to never invade Cuba, Khrushchev will take the missiles out of Cuba. Kennedy also secretly agrees to remove the US missiles from Turkey that Khrushchev sees as being a threat to the Soviets.
