After the British drove out the french they knew that the Indians have helped them win but the native Americans were worried about the constant stream of settlers in the west past the Appalachian mountains.To calm down the fears of the Indians King George lll issued a royal proclamation that forbidden colonist from settling west of the Appalachian mountains.This made the colonist mad and have shown that england was on the native side and they decided to move past the proclamation line and would not give up there land.The proclamation failed because of this.
